A finish without roller texture.
Walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets and exteriors — sprayed with a 3000 Titan airless sprayer for a flat, even film, then back-rolled where the room needs it. The prep is most of the job, and it is included.

Owner does the work
Austin shows up. Nobody subcontracts your job out to someone you never met.
Up to a 2-hour reach
Tooele base, but I’ll travel two hours when the job makes sense.
What’s included
Spraying is faster on anything with an edge — trim, doors, cabinet fronts. It also means masking, so the quality of the job is decided before the first coat goes on.
- Masking, drop cloths, and containing the overspray
- Patching nail holes, cracks, and dents
- Sanding, caulking, and spot-priming
- Walls and ceilings, sprayed and back-rolled in occupied rooms
- Trim, baseboard, casing, and doors
- Cabinet refinishing, sprayed for a factory-flat finish
- Exterior siding, trim, and fascia, weather permitting
- Primer over repairs, bare wood, and dark color changes
- Texture matching on patched drywall
- Hardware back on, touch-ups, and a clean room
Not sure whether your job fits the list? Describe it in the form anyway — if it is not something I should be doing, I will tell you who should.
What actually drives a painting price
Paint is cheap; preparation is not. Two rooms the same size can be hundreds apart because one has forty years of nail pops and a border that was glued on with something industrial.
So the estimate is really a prep estimate. If you want the honest number, send close-ups of the walls rather than the color swatch.
What moves the number
- Square footage and ceiling height
- How much patching, sanding, and priming the walls need
- One color or five, and whether ceilings and trim are included
- How much furniture has to move and be covered
- Spray or roll — spraying is faster on trim, doors and cabinets, but needs masking
- Exterior access: height, ladders, and how much scraping
Why spray, and when not to
An airless sprayer lays down an even film with no lap marks and no roller stipple. It is the difference you notice on doors, trim, and cabinet fronts.
The trade-off is masking. In a furnished room the walls usually get sprayed and then back-rolled, so the finish is uniform and the room is livable again sooner.
Three steps, no runaround
-
Send the rooms
Wide shots plus close-ups of the walls and trim. Say what is being painted, what is being replaced, and what stays.
-
Get the prep in writing
The estimate names the patching, sanding, caulking and priming included — because that is where the hours go.
-
Mask, spray, clean
Furniture covered, edges masked, walls and trim sprayed, hardware back on, floors clean.

Utah weather is the schedule
Exteriors depend on temperature, wind and moisture. I will not spray into wind or rain, and I will not paint over dew — if the forecast makes your job a bad idea this month, I will say so instead of taking the money.
The ones people actually ask
Do I need to empty the room?
Clear the small stuff, valuables and anything fragile. I will move what is reasonable and cover the rest — tell me if something is too heavy or too precious to touch.
Do you paint cabinets?
Yes, and it is the job where spraying matters most. Doors and drawer fronts come off and get sprayed flat; the frames are masked and sprayed in place. That is how you get a factory-style finish instead of brush marks.
How long does it take?
A single room is usually a day plus dry time. A whole interior is a week or more, and most of that is prep. Exteriors depend on the weather.
Do you fix the walls first?
Yes. Patching, sanding and caulking are part of the job, not an extra. If a wall needs more than patching — new drywall, or a repair that is really a remodel — you hear about it before the paint goes on.
Can you match the existing color?
Usually. A sample of the old paint — a chip from a closet wall, or the label from the can — gets a much closer match than a photo on a phone.
Other work I take on
One contractor for the whole house. If the job needs two of these, it is still one visit and one invoice.
